This issue of Amazing Spider-Man is written by Fred Van Lente. The story continues with The Gauntlet event. The Gauntlet event in this copy has shocked me for conveying classic stories of spider-man. The art of storytelling and characterization in this issue led me back into pre- 90’s issue of Spider-man. The write took the character of Sandman from the movie Spider-Man 3.
This issue is concerned with the battle of Sandman and Spider-Man. The story moves on with the love of Keemia and Sandman. Keemia hates Spider-Man for saving her life from the huge sand castle. Sandman is defeated and helpless about the situation.
Spider-Man in this issue approaches against a new version of the rascal and is now able to reproduce and adapt himself into new environments. The issue covers a simple fight between Sandman and Spiderman and it is sufficient to call it as a successful story. This whole story ends with a complete full circle and after reading I am again waiting to read about the little girl and her connection from Sandman.
Van Lente and Pulido have recognized themselves as 2 brightest voices of new Spidey Braintrust. Each time we get something new from these two story creators.
